Worked as a protection and control engineer for 3 years at Vattenfall Eldistribution.
Worked consisted of creating new, and updating old, grid coordination plans, performing grid blackout analysis and being a project resource when new transformer stations were to be built, or old transformer stations were to be upgraded.
Co-authored, together with my group, the Vattenfall guidelines for protection systems, “Felbortkopplingsriktlinjer”.
Working as a power system consultant at Sweco for 3 years has meant me getting a lot of new experiences. Some of these experiences can be read more about on this page.

PSS/E Modelling for prestudy of Tanzanian TSO-grid.
When grid blackouts happend that the Vattenfall DSO-grid operator could not explain, my job as a protection and control engineer was to analyze and find the answer for the “inexplicable” reason to why the grid blackout had happened. i.e. find the weak link that caused the chain reaction that led to the blackout.
Tools for analyzation consisted of going through protection relay disturbance recorders, protection relay settings, breakers and switching trips, electricity meters voltage/frequency/current-data, among other.
Procurement of 150 pcs of 400 V, three-phase meters for housing society. Electricity meters are used by Housing society to to measure and bill households for their electricity consumption, instead of letting the DSO provide this service.
By doing this themselves the housing society saves money on electricity bills, with a ROI of only 2.5 years.
